Pick up about 60 (63) 67 (71) st evenly distributed around the neck with a 2.5 mm / sz 2 needle. Make a scalloped edge the following way: Cast off 3 st, * cast on 2 new stitches (see knitted cast on p.112), cast off 5 st; repeat from * out the entire row.

Sew the side and arm seams. Wrinkle the arm cap together so that the arm fits in the armhole. Fasten the arms to the dress. Gently press down on the seams.

Warm baby blanket

A cozy baby blanket that works just as well to wrap the baby as it does as an extra cover in the stroller or bed. If you wish to make the blanket especially simple, skip the edge; in that case the whole blanket is garter knitted back and forth.
